Review: King Kong

Elliott and I were lucky enough to visit Melbourne last week for a preview screening of King Kong, and boy were we blown away. The puppetry and special effects were just as spectacular as we expected. But it goes without saying that there were certain elements missing. If you were to compare the musical aspects of this theatre event to any Broadway musical (which this show hopes to become in the future), you would be disappointed. The musical numbers were at best, mediocre. There were no stand-out songs that you could call memorable. That being said, we would definitely recommend people go and see the show simply because of how ground-breaking its technical aspects were. Read the full review here.

The lighting, stage craft and puppetry of King Kong the musical were incredible.
